After the crash 2007-2009 there is a possibility to buy reasonably priced properties in the US.
For this kind of property we do not expect capital growth in the near future, it is a bonus if that happens, but if they are managed in a proper way they will generate a real good return on investment.

This specific property, which by the way was our first rental property, is not located in the best area and does not attract the best tenants. We have learned that it is essential for us as remote investors is to find a trustworthy and professional management company, which we have done after getting a quite expensive initial lesson.

Without real good connections we do not recommend over seas investors to purchase properties in the US, the distance to the investment area increases the risk to a very high level.
